Bill Gates said when the corona vaccine will come ?
The world is counting the days waiting for the coronavirus vaccine. Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has expressed his thoughts on when the
world will be able to get a hand on the Covid-19 vaccine. He wrote in a blog
post that it will take 18 months to make the vaccine.
Bill Gates writes on the Gatesnots website that he agrees
with Anthony S. Fawcett, the top infectious disease specialist in the United
States and director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious
Diseases in the United States. The coronavirus vaccine will be available in 18
months, he said. But Bill Gates is a little more optimistic, saying the vaccine
could be available in nine months. At the same time, he said, it could take up
to two years to develop a vaccine.
Explaining how conventional vaccines are made, Gates said
that even though 18 months seems like a long time, it would be the fastest way
for scientists to invent vaccines. It usually takes five years to make the
vaccine. Once you pick a disease to determine the target, you need to create a
vaccine and test it in animals. Then tests are started on people for safety and
effectiveness.
In the case of Covid-19, this process has been accelerated.
First, there is no problem with financial development because governments and
agencies have increased their support to do whatever it takes to find the
vaccine, Gates noted.
In addition, scientists are already working on a variety of
methods to deal with Covid-19. Gates said he had received information about the
development of 115 types of vaccines as of April 9. He thinks that 8 to 10 of
them have special potential. He also thinks that the vaccines that will come in
the beginning will not be 100% perfect. But these will work.
Bill Gates said, ‘If we design the perfect vaccine, we want
to make it completely safe and 100% effective. One dose will provide lifelong
protection and it will be easy to carry and preserve. I hope the Covid-19 vaccine has all the qualities. However, we are not able to expect 100% success
in the time we are working.

In his blog post, Bill Gates mentions that even if it is not
100% perfect, vaccine production cannot be stopped. In addition, it is
important to ensure equal distribution for all. The reality is that not
everyone will be able to get the vaccine at the same time. It will take months
- even years - to make 600 million doses. We should start delivery as soon as
the first batch is ready.
Despite listing all the upcoming challenges, Gates said,
